I've been very lucky and had a lot of development opportunities here
I thought working at Inland Revenue would be a challenge and keep my mind active. I also knew there would be opportunity to progress so I jumped at the chance to be a call management advisor.
I've been very lucky and had a lot of development opportunities here. I was seconded to various roles and attended leadership forums and leadership training. Now I manage the Customer Information Unit, which is part of Corporate Affairs.
My team is fun, friendly and family-orientated. There is a strong commitment to doing a good job and producing quality information. The flexible working environment makes you feel like you're part of a family here and that your family does matter. I've been on maternity leave three times, worked part-time hours, worked full-time hours, and worked flexible hours to suit my family.
I've been here for eight years, but stay for the opportunities and because I love change. There is always something new and exciting happening, and so there is always something else to do or to learn and opportunities to progress.
