Family assistance payments to be made early

Because of Labour Day, Inland Revenue will make the family assistance weekly and fortnightly payment on Saturday 21 October, instead of the scheduled payment date of Tuesday 24 October.
"This means that customers with eftpos cards or access to telebanking will be able to access the payment on Saturday 21 October. All other customers will be able to access their payment on Tuesday 24 October," says Ross Hughson, Deputy Commissioner Business Development and Systems.
The following weekly payment will be made on Tuesday, 31 October 2006.
