Family assistance payments to be made early

Family assistance payments will be available earlier over the Christmas and New Year period. Inland Revenue will make the weekly and fortnightly payments on Friday, 22 December and Friday, 29 December 2006 instead of the normal payment dates of Tuesday, 26 December 2006 and Tuesday 02, January 2007.
"This means that all customers will be able to access their payments early on Friday, 22 December and Friday, 29 December," says Colin MacDonald, Deputy Commissioner Business Development and Systems.
The next weekly payment will be made on Tuesday, 9 January 2007.
