Realignment of our operational areas
During 2006-07, we completed a review of our operational areas. This review introduced a platform for improving compliance that integrates our functions and is influenced by gaining a deeper understanding of our customers.
Corporate strategies
During the year, we also developed a new set of corporate strategies. The seven strategies provide a framework for thinking about the best way to improve voluntary compliance and ensure our customers receive their entitlements.
Paying tax and receiving entitlements
Includes sections on assisting our customers, responding to non-compliance and tackling the harder end of compliance.
Developing our people and infrastructure
Includes sections on developing our people, excellent state servants, trusted state servants, EEO statistics and developing our infrastructure.
An effective and efficient organisation
Includes sections on measuring organisational efficiency and reducing customer compliance costs.
Inland Revenue's Charter
Includes our charter and a section about our charter commitments.
