This calculator will convert overseas income to New Zealand dollars. Overseas income must be shown in your New Zealand tax return in New Zealand dollars.

When to use this calculator
You can use this calculator to convert overseas income and tax credits to New Zealand dollars where your calculation would have been done using the top row of Table A (mid month).

You cannot use this calculator if you only have details on an annual total basis.
What you will need
You will need:
- the amount you wish to convert, and
- the month that the money was earned.
If you are claiming a credit for tax paid overseas, the credit is limited to the amount of New Zealand tax payable on that income.
