When to use this worksheet

Use this calculation sheet to calculate how much you are allowed to withdraw from your KiwiSaver account to cover your income tax liability and any student loan obligation due on the foreign superannuation lump sum. To withdraw you must have:

  • filed an IR3 Income tax return declaring your foreign superannuation income
  • made this application within two years of the month your return is assessed.
What you will need

The information from your IR3 return and/or assessment notice issued by Inland Revenue.
