About this form

Form to use if you want to stop receiving child support or domestic maintenance under a court order or voluntary agreement. If you are receiving a sole parent rate of benefit and wish to stop a child support court order or voluntary agreement, please call us on 0800 221 221.

When to use this form

Use this form if you are entitled to receive child support or domestic maintenance payments under a court order or voluntary agreement, and you want it to stop, and:

  • there is no outstanding child support owed by the paying parent
  • the paying parent still owes some child support to you and you want Inland Revenue to collect it, or
  • the paying parent still owes some child support to you but you will collect it yourself.
Note

If the paying parent still owes you child support, you can choose to collect the debt (including any penalties) yourself.

To do this you'll need to print an Authorisation not to collect child supoirt, domestic maintenance or penalties (IR129) form - see "Forms and guides", complete and sign it, then post it back to Inland Revenue.

What you will need

Only the person entitled to receive child support or domestic maintenance can elect to withdraw from a court order or a voluntary agreement.
