Personal details panel
First name / Last name
These are mandatory fields and cannot be left blank. The names you enter can include a mixture of:
- lower and upper case letters (using characters from the English and Maori alphabet, excluding macron characters)
- the numbers 0123456789
- the symbols . ( ) , \ / - ‘
- a space between characters.

Email address
This is a mandatory field and cannot be left blank. The email address entered on this page will be used when sending online service access information to the new user. Please ensure this email address is available to:
- the new user in the workplace (to avoid delays in logging on to online services), and
- the new user only (no other person has access to this email address).
This email address can include a mixture of:
- lower and upper case letters (using characters from the English and Maori alphabet, excluding macron characters)
- the numbers 0123456789
- the symbols - _ %

Phone number
The phone number you enter can be between 6 and 16 characters long and include a mixture of:
- the numbers 0123456789
- lower and upper case letters (using characters from the English and Maori alphabet, excluding macron characters)
- the symbols ( ) + -
- a space between characters.

Account access panel
User ID
This is a mandatory field and cannot be left blank. The user ID you enter here will be emailed to the new user at the address you have entered in the "Email address" field. This user ID:
- can not be the same as a user ID already used by another online services user
- must be between 5 and 10 characters long
- must start with 2 letters of the alphabet (lower case and/or upper case, using characters from the English and Maori alphabet, excluding macron characters)
- may include the numbers 0123456789.

Role
This is a mandatory field - you must choose one of these roles for the new user:
- Administrator - an administrator will have the same access as the owner and will have full access to the Manage Account Access service and all online services. An administrator won't be able to view or amend owner access records.
- User - a user won't have access to Manage Account Access, so doesn't have access to view or update user access to online services. A user can access online services only if allocated by an administrator or owner.

Support person panel
Name
When the new user has questions about their online service access, they will contact their support person. Choose the name of this person from the list of administrators and owners supplied.

Services
Service status
This page will be displayed when you're creating new access for someone with a user role. The services listed on this page are those available to the business. This list will grow as more services become available. Access to all services will remain at "No Access" until this status is changed.
To allocate a service to the new user, select "Access" from the drop-down list.
