Example
Adam has a student loan and is still completing his degree. He works for 6 weeks during the December and January break. Adam doesn't work at any other time during the tax year.
Adam will earn $480 a week ($2,880 in total for the tax year)
Even though Adam will be earning over $349 per week, he will not earn over the annual repayment threshold for the year. Adam will answer "No" to this question.
