The Crown Forestry Rental Trust

The Crown Forestry Rental Trust was established by deed under section 34 of the Crown Forest Assets Act 1989. It holds substantial assets and makes substantial payments to assist Māori claimants with their claims that may involve Crown forest land. The trust is subject to the Auditor-General jurisdiction under the Public Audit Act 2001 and to Parliamentary oversight.
