IRD numbers now 9 digits long
Inland Revenue has begun issuing 9-digit IRD and GST numbers to all new customers. This means that some customers will have an 8-digit number and some customers a 9-digit number.
Individuals, businesses and other organisations that store IRD numbers need to check that their systems and processes can cater for 8 and 9-digit IRD and GST numbers.
