Online services registration

If you are a personal customer or business owner, registering for a secure account will let you complete a range of tasks including updating your details and sending us some forms online. Business owners include partners in partnerships and directors of companies. If you are not a business owner, and require access to Online Services, your access is set up by the business owner or nominated administrator of your organisation.

As an individual

You will be able to:

  • view your balances and transactions
  • get your earnings information
  • communicate with through via secure email
  • use My family details and income online service - if you are the principal child carer
  • complete and send a detailed statement in support of a research and development (R&D) tax credit claim, if you are eligible.
As a business or an employer

You will be able to:

  • use ir-File to file your employer monthly schedules (EMS)
  • communicate with us through secure email
  • file a portfolio investment entity return
  • business owners - manage your staff's access to online services using Manage account access (MAA)
  • complete and send a detailed statement in support of a research and development (R&D) tax credit claim, if you are eligible.
As a tax agent

You will be able to:

  • view your clients' balances and transactions
  • maintain your client list
  • communicate with us through secure email
  • get your clients' earnings information
  • ir-File - file an employer monthly schedule for yourself and your clients
  • view your balances and transactions
  • file a portfolio investment entity return
  • business owners - manage your staff's access to online services using Manage account access (MAA)
  • complete and send a detailed statement in support of a client's research and development (R&D) tax credit claim, if they are eligible.
