IR3 individual income tax return 2010

1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010

About this return

These services allow individuals to file their income tax return online. This is the same as completing the Individual tax return 2010 (IR3) form.

If you're registered for myIR Secure Online Services and have been issued an IR3 you can file this online. The form will pre-populate with your personal details and earnings information. You need to be registered to use this service. Simply login or register using the links above.

When to use this return

If you're registered for online services, use this facility by clicking on "Login" to file your IR3 online with us. If you're not registered for online services, but would like to, simply click on the "Register" link above. Your income details for the 2009 - 2010 income year will be pre-populated in your return.

Use the "Start" option if you're not registered for online services and you've received your document lodgement number (DLN) letter or your IR3 income tax return in the mail and are ready to file it online with us.

The numbers to the right of each box of the online return correspond to the question numbers on the paper IR3 return. This means you can use the IR3 guide to help explain each step when filing online.

What you will need

If you're registered for online services, you'll only need your user ID and password.

If you're not registered for online services, you will need:

  • Your income details for the 2009-2010 period. This typically includes your summary of earnings, any interest or dividends information, rental income and any overseas income.

  • The DLN for your 2010 IR3. This is the 14-character number printed either in the text of the letter we sent you or at the top right and bottom of your paper return. If you don't have this number either call us on 0800 377 774 or download a printable return to complete and return by post.
  • Access to a printer. You must print a copy of your return so please ensure your computer is connected to a printer.
