My family details and income service

(for the period 1 April 2013 - 31 March 2014)

About this service

If you’re the principal child carer, you can use the service to check and update the details we have for your family.

When to use this service

Use My family details and income when you need to check your Working for Families Tax Credits details, or update them.

The service guides you through the following stages:

  1. confirm your spouse or partner details
  2. confirm your annual family income details
  3. confirm your children's current details
  4. confirm your payment options
  5. submit your change of circumstances.
What you will need
  • your annual family income details
  • the name and IRD number of your spouse or partner and details of their income (if applicable)
  • your bank account number
  • details of the children in your care - including their full names, dates of birth, and the date they began living with you (if different from their date of birth).
After you finish

The final page will confirm:

  • the date and time we received your updated details
  • any changes to your Working for Families Tax Credits entitlements and when they will  be paid.

You’ll receive a new notice of entitlement in the mail shortly, showing your updated details and your Working for Families Tax Credits entitlement.

If  we cannot process your updated details automatically, we’ll contact you. If you’ve recently changed your contact details, please go to change address and phone number.
