Tax agents: To file a detailed statement on behalf of a client, you must upgrade your online services user ID to access your client's detailed statement. For help, ask the online services support person or administrator in your office, or contact the R&D tax credit team.

File your detailed statement online

Important

Having filed your tax return, you will need to file your detailed statement online to claim your R&D tax credit.

How to access the detailed statement online

  1. Login to the 'Services requiring login' from the IR home page
    (if you have not registered, click on the 'Register now' link from the 'Services requiring login' section)
  2. Click on the Research and development (R&D) tax credit detailed statement link.
