Complete this return if you are a company and you need to file an IR4 tax return for the year 2009 (1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009).

When to use this form
If you are a non-active company you do not need to complete an IR 4 return.
A non-active company is a company that has:
- not derived any gross income
- no deductions
- not disposed of any assets
- not been party to any transactions that during the year gave rise to:
- gross income for any person, or
- fringe benefits to any employee or any former employee, or
- a debit in the company's imputation credit account or FDP (foreign dividend payment) account
These companies may be excused from filing tax returns if they complete a Non-active company declaration (IR433) form
What you will need
You will need:
- your IRD number
- rental property address
- period property was available for renting
- total rental income on this property
- any other income
- any gain or loss on disposal
- expenses relating to this property
- depreciation information for building and assets - this will include the:
- date of purchase
- cost
- means of depreciation
- adjusted tax value, and
- rate of depreciation
