About this form

If you have any new or updated information for us about a change in your child support circumstances you need to complete the IR116 form. You can also complete this online.

When to use this form

Please remember to tell us if:

  • you're going overseas and you change your address or contact detail
  • you start to share the care of a child
  • you start working for a new employer and your child support is being deducted from your wages
  • you start or stop receiving a benefit
  • your income changes and you've estimated your income for child support
  • your living situation changes (for example, if you start living with a partner, or a child stops living with you)
  • you start living with the person who is looking after the child that you pay child support for
  • any of the children that you pay child support for start living with you or start working or receiving a benefit or student allowance
  • you are going to have trouble making a payment on time.
  • you have any other changes which may affect your child support assessment
