When to use this form

Use this form to calculate your business adjustments for a tax year - for your Working for Families tax credits Change of circumstances (IR541) form.  This form allows you to work out losses, income adjustments and decreases in business income.

What you will need
  • your IRD number
  • losses claimed from Box 27B of your return
  • business income adjustments
  • losses received from LAQCs
  • shareholder details.

After you finish

When you have finished working out your calculations, you will need to transfer your calculations to your IR541.

If you had a partner with business income at any time during the year, they will also need to complete a separate IR215. 

As the principal child carer you will need to send in the IR541 and the IR215 with your partner's business income details.
