About this service
This service allows an existing entity to register as a portfolio investment entity (PIE).
When to use this service
Use this service if you are acting for an existing entity and wish to register as a PIE.
What you will need
Your existing entity IRD number - if you don't have this you can find it on any correspondence from us, or call us on 0800 377 774.
After you finish
Your request will take 15 - 20 working days to process. You will receive a letter confirming your registration.
If you wish to keep a copy of this registration for your own records, please print the confirmation page or save it as a PDF document.
This service may require you to send confidential information to Inland Revenue so it is located on a secure part of our website to prevent unauthorised interception. If you are unable to access this service, your browser and/or firewall settings may need updating.
