IR3 individual income tax return 2006

1 April 2005 to 31 March 2006

About this return

This service allows individual and sole trader tax payers to file their income tax return online. This is equivalent to completing the Individual tax return 2006 (IR3) form.

When to use this return

Use this service once you have received your letter showing your DLN number or IR3 income tax return in the mail and are ready to file it online with us.

What you will need
  • Your income details for the 2005-2006 period. This typically includes your summary of earnings, any interest or dividends information, rental income and any overseas income.
  • Your IRD number - If you don't have this call us on 0800 227 774.
  • The DLN number from your paper return. This is the 14-character number on the top right of your paper return. If you don't have this number either call us on 0800 377 774 or download a printable return to complete and return by post.

Please note:
When submitting this return online you must remember to complete the "Income type" panel before "continuing" on to the income details and amounts. If the tick box(es) in the "Income type" panel are not completed before moving through the rest of the return, all data entered subsequently will be lost when the "Continue" button is used.

After you finish

When you have submitted this return please print the receipt page and keep it for your tax records.

Remember

Unless you have an extension of time you need to submit your IR3 by 7 July 2006.
