Portfolio investment entity (PIE) file transfer service
(To use this service you need a user ID and password)
About this service
This service allows PIEs, tax agents and nominated persons to file either PIE periodic returns or PIE annual reconciliation statements and associated investor certificates.
When to use this service
Use this service if you are a PIE that elected the:
- annual/exitor filing option (HL 24)
- quarterly filing option (HL 22)
- annual provisional tax filing option (HL 23)
What you will need
Your Online Services userID and password.
If you have not yet registered, please follow the Register link.
If you have registered and have received your password, please use the Login link.
You will also need:
- the PIE's IRD number
- your PIE return details for the relevant period, or
- your annual reconciliation details for the relevant period, and/or
- your investor certificate details.
Tax agents and nominated persons must be linked to the PIE's tax type to use this service.
After you finish
You will receive a message of acknowledgement.

This service may require you to send confidential information to Inland Revenue so it is located on a secure part of our website to prevent unauthorised interception. If you are unable to access this service, your browser and/or firewall settings may need updating.
