On 11 February 2020, Primary Industries Minister Damien O’Connor declared the drought affecting the Northland Region and the northern part of Auckland down to the Harbour Bridge to be a medium-scale adverse event.

On 27 February 2020, Primary Industries Minister Damian O’Connor also declared the drought affecting the Waikato Region and South Auckland district to be a medium scale adverse event.

To assist farmers, we're exercising discretion to allow late deposits and early withdrawal from the income equalisation scheme.
