Information sharing with Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s Market Integrity Branch and Customer Service Delivery Branch

This agreement enables MBIE and Inland Revenue (IR) to share information for the purposes of:

enabling each agency to better perform its regulatory functions and duties
improving integrity and efficiency across the tax, corporate governance, and insolvency systems
reducing duplication of effort and costs through coordinated compliance and enforcement
providing timely and targeted support and communications to New Zealand businesses, and
improving the quality of public policy by allowing better-informed, data-driven analysis.
