Treasury COVID-19

Supply of information from Inland Revenue to the Treasury for the purpose of:

a. monitoring the health of the New Zealand economy during and post COVID-19; and

b. supporting the development and monitoring of COVID-19 related policies.  

a. Weekly PAYE data aggregated by industry or region and backdated to 2008 (where possible); including number of employers; number of jobs; and total wages paid.

b. Monthly data from IR’s COVID-19 Customer Relief Initiative Report. Dashboard including:

i. data on uptake of the tax loss carry-back scheme
ii. data on uptake of the Small Business Cashflow Loan scheme
iii data on remission of Use of Money Interest for COVID-19 related customers.

The Information does not identify individual customers.
