In April, we’re delivering a number of changes to make tax more straightforward. This includes extending the time for you to make changes to your Working for Families Tax Credits (WfFTC) information. This means payments will be based on more up-to-date details.
As a result of these updates there will be a change to the day you receive your WfFTC payments. The official payment day is not changing and remains as Tuesday, however due to some banks processing payments the same day they receive the information from us, you may currently receive your payments on a Monday.
From the week beginning 29 April, this will change and your payments will instead go through to your account on a Tuesday. For some credit union customers, the processing occurs overnight. This means you would receive payments in your account on a Wednesday instead of a Tuesday from the week beginning 29 April.

The WfFTC payment due on Tuesday 23 April 2019 will be paid early, on Friday 19 April 2019.
The next scheduled weekly payment will be made on Tuesday 30 April 2019.
