If you have My business in myIR, you may want other people to help manage your accounts. You can do this by granting access to your myIR information.
You can grant a bookkeeper or a nominated person access to your myIR information under their own myIR logon and password. This means they don’t need to maintain multiple myIR logon details for each party they represent.
You can choose which accounts they can access and the account permissions (activities) they can complete for you.
To grant access you’ll both need to be registered for, and using, myIR. You'll also need:
When you’ve completed the steps to grant access we’ll send an email to the party with a code to activate their access in myIR. They’ll have 24 hours to log into their own myIR account to redeem the code and gain access to your myIR information.
You can choose this option if you have someone who works for you or acts on your behalf to help with your tax affairs. The new logon (user ID) you create allows them access your myIR information.

We’ll send an email to the person along with a temporary password. You’ll need to wait until they’ve logged in and set up their own password, before you can choose the access role and account permissions for your business accounts.
A party acting on your behalf can request access to your myIR information. When this happens, we’ll send you an email with their request details and a link to either approve or decline it.
If you approve the request, they’ll be able to access your myIR information for the account permissions they specified.
If the party has requested access to information you don’t want them to have, you’ll need to decline the request. We’ll send them an email notification advising their request for access has been declined.
You can either let the third party know which accounts they should request access to and wait for them to submit another request, or you can grant them access yourself.
If you're a tax agent you can create a new logon for your employees. This lets them add clients to their workspace and manage their client list.
You’ll need to wait until the employee has logged in and changed their password before you can continue to update their access role and account permissions.
If you don’t want an employee to link/delink clients, choose restricted user.
Employees can't access your agency's own myIR account information.
