Gather your information

You will need:

  • the tax agent’s (entity) name and IRD number
  • your IRD number
  • contact details.

Sign the declaration

You need to sign and declare the information you have given is accurate. One of the following must witness the declaration:

  • solicitor
  • Justice of the Peace
  • registrar
  • deputy registrar of the High Court or District Court
  • person authorised to take a statutory declaration.

Upload the form in myIR

You need to upload your statutory declaration to the entity’s tax agent application.

You can upload the documents in the Tax preparer tab in myIR.

What happens next

You will receive a notice of approval if we accept your application.

We will give you a PIN number to use our tax agent's self-service line once your registration is complete.

You need to let us know if your details change. We need to know about changes within 12 months. This makes sure our tax agents list is up to date.
