COVID-19 support measures including the Resurgence Support Payment, COVID-19 Support Payment and the Small Business Cashflow Scheme loan were introduced under a high-trust model. Although there are integrity checks in place, there is also an expectation that only those eligible received the support.
We are now carrying out a review to check the payments went to people meeting the requirements.
Through this work, we have identified some customers who may not have been eligible.
On 29 and 30 November, we will be sending letters to customers who may need to check their eligibility again and let us know if they made a mistake. If you have a client whose mail redirects to you, you will receive this letter instead.
These letters are to encourage customers to check the eligibility criteria. If they believe they were not eligible for any of the support they received they should let us know as soon as possible.
