On 18 January we will send letters to 3 groups of customers who have received Cost of Living payments where their eligibility was unclear.
These groups are:
- those who had only negative PIE income, and received payment incorrectly
- those whose eligibility is unclear, for example they may be overseas
- those who may not meet the eligibility criteria for other reasons.
We will send the letter directly to the customers as Cost of Living was not linked to tax agents. The letter also includes advice about how to return the payments.
