There are currently some issues where the filing percentage calculated as at 31 March may not be accurate, this is being investigated.

We will continue to monitor the level of filing percentages, because we need to know this to understand the overall condition of the tax system with respect to filing and paying.

As a result of the various effects of Covid-19 and other recent climatic events, we do not intend to take action where a filing percentage is below target. We want to work with tax agencies to help them and their clients in whatever way we can. Our system however, has been designed to send notifications automatically, so, if you have any concerns about meeting your filing percentages for reasons beyond your control, please do not hesitate to contact your account manager. Our account managers are aware of the situation, and we've requested they use their discretion in these discussions.

The way our new system has calculated the filing stats this year (the transition year between our old and new systems) may have caused confusion. From 1 April 2020, EOT monitoring and stats will include any client with an active income tax account, which will be significantly simpler.

You do not need to do anything further unless you believe you have achieved 100% and want to receive the 100% filing certificate. In that event, please contact your account manager.
