KiwiSaver provider Generate has experienced a privacy breach of their customer’s information. For some customers, this may have included their IRD number.

Once we became aware of this privacy breach, we put extra security measures in place to prevent the hacked information being used.

We take security very seriously. Inland Revenue has not found any cases where the hacked information has been used to try to access our systems. We will continue to proactively monitor all services and assets for any cyber risks.
