We’re aware of an issue where debit interest is being charged on Income tax and Working for Families Tax Credits assessments for the 2020 year when the assessment is not overdue.

We’ve removed the incorrect interest from customers we’ve identified as affected by this issue. If you have any clients with incorrect interest still showing on their account, let us know and we’ll remove it. You can check your clients’ transactions in myIR on the transaction summary report, or the Transaction details button when viewing the period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue. We’re working on a fix and will correct all affected accounts once it’s in place. We’ll update this article when we’ve put the fix in place.
