We want to let you know what’s happening over Easter.

Working for Families payments over Easter

If you receive weekly Working for Families payments and are expecting a payment on either Tuesday 14 April or Wednesday 15 April, you will receive your payment early, on Thursday 9 April or Friday 10 April.

Your payments will continue as normal from Tuesday 21 April or Wednesday 22 April.

myIR and phone lines not available 9-16 April

From 3pm Thursday 9 April to Thursday 16 April:

  • myIR secure online services will be unavailable
  • our phone lines will be closed.

Our offices will stay closed as a result of the current Level 4 lockdown.

We’re going ahead with planned system changes now so we can respond more quickly to Government requirements related to COVID-19 and in turn, serve you better.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

If you need information you can still get it from our website.

You can still make payments to us. Please pay through your bank as you normally would.

Please note: If you have draft returns or draft secure mail in myIR, these will be deleted. Be sure to complete these before 3pm on Thursday 9 April so you do not lose them.

You can still submit returns to us by E-File during this period, and they will be processed when we are back online.

Employment Information (EI) returns for payday filing that are due over the temporary lockdown can be filed, if you can, on Friday 17 April. The days during the temporary lockdown will not count as working days for filing periods.
