The final public facing phase of Inland Revenue’s Business Transformation programme will go live on 28 October 2021.

As with previous releases, Inland Revenue’s services will be temporarily unavailable to allow for the cut-over between systems to take place.

From 3pm Thursday 21 October we will be temporarily closed to customers.

At this time our systems and services will shut down, including our contact centre, front of house offices and myIR secure services.

All going to plan, we expect our systems and services to be back up and open for customers by the start of business on Thursday 28 October.

Government has agreed that businesses and individuals will have more time to file and pay their GST and provisional tax that would have been due on 28 October 2021. They now have until 4 November to file and pay.

Employment information

Employment Information (EI) returns for payday filing cannot be filed during this closure.

If EI returns that are due between 21 and 27 October are filed by 29 October, they will not be considered late.
