We have resolved an issue affecting some clients of tax agents who may have been incorrectly recorded in our system as not having an extension of time (EOT) to file their 2021 income tax return.
This related to clients who had been linked to a tax agent with EOT, whose 2021 income tax returns were then filed, and the clients were then either linked or bulk transferred to a new tax agent. Their EOT status was incorrectly updated to ‘none’ instead of ‘granted’.
Affected clients have now had their records updated to correctly record that EOT had been granted for the 2021 income tax return. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
