Cost of Living Payment The Government has announced a Cost of Living Payment, which will be paid from 1 August 2022. You do not need to apply for this payment. If you are eligible, we’ll pay it into your bank account. Find out more

We are aware some information is not pre-populating from the previous years' income tax returns into the following years' returns.

This issue affects gateway services pre-pop service and the Income API.

Information not populating includes:

  • excess imputation credits brought forward
  • losses brought forward from previous years
  • residential rental deductions brought forward
  • research and development tax credits brought forward.

We are working to resolve this issue. In the meantime, you can get the information from last year's return and add it to the current year's return before submitting it to us.

Returns completed in myIR are not affected.
