The Prime Minister announced that Monday 26 September will be a one-off public holiday, known as Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day.

Available channels

Our phone lines and offices will be closed on Monday 26 September.

Our website, self-service phoneline and myIR will still be available.

If you need to get in touch with us during this time, please send us a message from your myIR account.

Working for Families and Paid Parental Leave

If you receive Working for Families weekly or paid parental leave fortnightly payments, the payment dates remain Tuesday 27 September or Wednesday 28 September.

As Monday 26 September is a public holiday, depending on your bank, the time of day you receive your payment on Tuesday or Wednesday may not be the same. However, it will still be paid on your usual day.

You might see in myIR that the processing dates are showing as different to the dates we’ve outlined above. However, this does not change the payment date.

Goods and Services Tax

GST filing and payment dates won’t be affected, where applicable, payments and returns will still be due on 28 September.
