Delays to response times: It's taking longer than usual to answer calls and myIR messages, including for unclaimed money. You may be able to use self-service options in myIR. You can also find information on our website by typing in what you want to do in the search bar. Thank you for your understanding. Log in to myIR

Changes to the myIR login screen are coming You will not be able to use myIR between 1pm Saturday 8 October and 8am Monday 10 October. This is so we can update our external authentication system. From Monday 10 October the myIR login page will have a new look and feel, but the login process will not change.

Important Update

Minister for Rural Communities, Damien O’Connor, declared a medium-scale adverse event for the Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough and Far North districts.

Approval to use Inland Revenue’s income equalisation scheme discretions has been granted. This means early refunds of deposits will be allowed and late deposits for the 2022 year can be made until 31 May 2023.

While the medium event classification applies to only the above regions and districts, we are aware that localised damage has occurred in other regions as well. We will take a sympathetic and realistic approach when dealing with customers genuinely affected by the rain and subsequent flooding. We will also continue to offer relief for late filing or payment penalties and support for customers to meet their tax obligations, instalment arrangements for example.
