	A company director was today sentenced to 21 months of imprisonment for failing to account for nearly $1.3 million of PAYE deductions for his eight rest home companies.
18 December 2006	Family assistance payments to be made early
	Family assistance payments will be available earlier over the Christmas and New Year period. Inland Revenue will make the weekly and fortnightly payments on Friday, 22 December and Friday, 29 December 2006 instead of the normal payment dates of Tuesday, 26 December 2006 and Tuesday 02, January 2007.

	Inland Revenue today welcomed the prison sentence handed down on a Palmerston North tax fraudster who stole about $220,000 from clients of the accounting firm where he worked.
9 November 2006	False identity charges lead to jail term for Christchurch woman
	Christchurch woman Judith Palmer was today sentenced in the Christchurch District Court to two years and three months imprisonment after using a false identity to claim family assistance payments totalling $120,000 to which she was not entitled.
17 October 2006	PAYE evasion leads to jail term
	An Auckland plasterer was sentenced in the North Shore District Court today to four months' jail for evading tax of over $119,000. There was no deferment for the sentence to take effect, nor was leave granted to apply for home detention.
16 October 2006	Family assistance payments to be made early
	Because of Labour Day, Inland Revenue will make the family assistance weekly and fortnightly payment on Saturday 21 October, instead of the scheduled payment date of Tuesday 24 October.
