Below are some of the most commonly asked questions we receive. We have provided brief responses and sources for further information for each question.

Can Inland Revenue provide comment on the individual or organisation I am enquiring about?

Please refer to information about secrecy provisions of the Tax Administration Act 1994.  These provisions prevent Inland Revenue from commenting on the tax affairs of any individual taxpayer or organisation.

Can Inland Revenue provide comment on an investigation that is before the courts?

Please refer to information about secrecy provisions of the Tax Administration Act 1994.  Inland Revenue is unable to comment on investigations while they are before the courts.

What is the latest figure for total annual revenue collection?

Please refer to our latest Annual Report for all information on revenue collection for the last financial year.

What are the current tax rates for individuals?

Please refer to the list of income tax rates for individuals.
