Provisional tax and student loan interim payments due
28 August

The first instalment of provisional tax and student loan interim payments are due on 28 August for people who have a March balance date.

This due date applies to provisional taxpayers who use the standard or estimation option to calculate their provisional tax payments.

If you use the ratio option to calculate your provisional tax payments and you have a March balance date, your second provisional tax instalment is due on 28 August.

This due date also applies to you if you have an interim payment obligation for your student loan. The interim payments you make will be offset against your repayment obligation at the end of the year.
