Paying parents who live in New Zealand have a range of options available for making child support payments. Parents who receive a benefit form Work and Income pay by automatic deductions from their benefit. Other parents can choose from our convenient options of making payments online, automatic payments, posting a cheque or, in person at any Westpac branch.

Penalties on late child support payments

Penalties apply if you do not make your child support payments on time. If your full child support amount is not paid on time, you are charged a penalty of either $5 or 10% of the unpaid amount, whichever is the greater.
