The Job Support Scheme (formerly known as the 9-day fortnight)
The Job Support Scheme is a Government initiative, administered by Work and Income, to help employers retain employees who could otherwise be facing redundancy. Every employer with more than 100 staff in New Zealand is eligible for the Job Support Scheme, with some exceptions.
The scheme has been extended from 27 April 2009 to include employers with 50 to 100 employees.
