We recognise the important role tax agents play in the New Zealand tax system helping taxpayers to understand and meet their obligations and modelling exemplary compliance behaviours. Since 19 December 2007 the law requires us to maintain a list of tax agents and prescribes criteria for adding tax agents and maintaining that list.
