People leaving New Zealand for a short term

If you are leaving New Zealand for a short term, you must contact us if:

  • you have a student loan and/or
  • you are paying child support.

When you go overseas your student loan or child support obligations continue. However, the amount you are required to pay may change.  Please contact us to discuss your circumstances.
