Inland Revenue signs agreement with TelstraClear
15 March 2005
Inland Revenue and TelstraClear last night signed a six year telecommunications services outsourcing agreement.
Under this agreement TelstraClear will provide Inland Revenue with a managed service for its telecommunications needs which includes all voice, data, mobile and internet services and will employ a converged voice and data network.
Inland Revenue announced TelstraClear as its preferred telecommunications supplier in October last year, following 18 months work on the review of Department’s telecommunications needs and a competitive tender for its telecommunications services.
Since that announcement Inland Revenue has been working with TelstraClear on preliminary design of the new network, process redesign and contract negotiations.
Deputy Commissioner Colin MacDonald said both parties were now in a position to enter the detailed design phase of the new agreement, with the roll out of the new network commencing later this year.
