You need to submit a FamilyBoost claim to get your refund.

FamilyBoost can be claimed for the following quarters:

  • 1 July to 30 September
  • 1 October to 31 December
  • 1 January to 31 March
  • 1 April to 30 June.

You can claim FamilyBoost for the childcare fees you are required to pay. Childcare fees can include optional charges and services, such as meals or nappies, but do not include donations or subsidies, like the Childcare Subsidy from Work and Income.

You can make your claim at any time after the quarter has ended. Each quarter will need to be claimed separately. You cannot pre-submit a claim partway through a quarter.

You will have up to 4 years to submit your claims.
