ir-File demonstration - Lesson 4: Customising ir-file
We'll show you how to:
- change your display settings
- change your default filing method.
Change display setting
This page can be accessed by selecting Change display settings from the left hand menu.
This page will let you set which Default page ir-File displays once you have logged in. You can select from:
(click on the link to preview the screen)
You can also sort the Employee order in pre-filled schedules by:
- As entered by you on the previous schedule, or
- Sort by employee name.
Once you have set your default page and selected your employee sort or you will need to click on Apply change to save these changes to the system.
We will confirm the details of your changes.
The Updated display settings will confirm that your changes have been successfully updated and show your UserID, IRD number, Workspace name, Default page after login - in this case the Receipts page option we selected, and that we have chosen to Sort by employee name for our schedules.
Employer filing method
Select Filing method in the left hand menu.
This screen will allow you to select either:
- File monthly using on-screen form to key your schedule details
You would use this method if you usually keep a manual wage book. - File monthly using payroll file transfer
You would use this method if you use a computerised payroll system.
You would select the filing method most appropriate for you and then select Update to save your preference to our system.
We will then confirm that we have updated your filing method.
