Help: How to use this site
Some of our online services require the use of cookies
Your browser needs to be set up to accept cookies from our website. Not all of our Online Services will function as expected if cookie support is not present in your browser.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of information that is automatically stored (temporarily) on your computer by your web browser. We use this piece of information to confirm your identity as you move between screens on our online services.
Why does my browser not support cookies?
- Cookie support may be disabled or restricted in your browser. Please consult the help for your particular browser. You may be able to enable cookie support specifically for our website.
- You may have a very old browser version or a browser that does not support cookies. Current versions of browsers such as Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari support cookies.
- If you are using a software firewall on your computer it may restrict cookies. Consult the help for your firewall to ensure that this is not the case.
- Some corporate firewalls may block cookies for security reasons. You may need to consult your System Administrator if this is the case.
Privacy
Our use of cookies is strictly to identify your login session during the time that you are using our online services that require a user ID and password. It is safe to have cookie support enabled while using our online services as the cookies we use expire as soon as you log out or within 15 minutes of inactivity and do not contain any personal information.
Known issues
If your browser does not support cookies or you have disabled the use of cookies then there are some known issues with our site that you should be aware of.
Logging in
Single sign on, the ability to login once for all services, does not function correctly when cookies are disabled or not supported. This means that each time you navigate between services or away from services like File an Employer Schedule (ir-File) or Send and receive mail you will lose your login session and will be required to log in again when you re-enter the service.
Look at account information service
The service can be used but you will be asked to log in for each page that you visit.
