Availability of our services

This page tells you when our B2B, E-File and ir-File services are available for you to use. Our services are available at most times. However, some services are unavailable at certain times during the week. We also have outages during the year. We'll let you know about these on our news and updates page.

Personal tax summary (PTS) web service

The PTS web service is unavailable from 5am to 7am Monday to Saturday and from 12am to 8am on Sundays.

Tax agent web service (TAWS)

TAWS is unavailable from 12am to 8am on Sundays.

Bulk requests must be completed between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday and between 2pm and 12am on Saturdays.

Ad hoc requests can be made from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.

E-File and ir-File

The E-File and ir-File services are unavailable from 12am to 12pm on Sundays.

Test environment

If you want access to our test environment, email SDLU@ird.govt.nz to check the testing times available.

Please contact us as soon as you start any development that will require testing.

If a service isn't working correctly

If you find a service isn't working correctly, you can email us and we'll respond within five working days, depending on the complexity of the issue.

E-File

Email SDLU@ird.govt.nz with:

  • your name and contact phone number
  • a description and/or symptom of the problem
  • screenshot(s) of what you see, and
  • any other information that will help in our investigation of the issue, eg, error messages or response scripts.

Tax agent web service and PTS web service

Email SDLU@ird.govt.nz with:

  • your name and contact phone number
  • a description of the problem and/or symptoms
  • screenshot(s) of what you see, and
  • any other supporting information.

ir-File

Email SDLU@ird.govt.nz with:

  • your name and contact phone number
  • a description of the problem and/or symptoms
  • screenshot(s) of what you see, and
  • any other supporting information.
